The Western DFC (1483 kms.) will be from Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) in Mumbai to Tughlakabad and Dadri near Delhi and would cater largely to the container transport requirements between the existing and emerging ports in Maharashtra and Gujarat and the northern hinterland. The cost of completing the corridor at current prices stands at around Rs.2,500 crores.

Mir Builders with the Kanoos Group, Saudi Arabia is in the process of establishing India’s first integrated Customs Bonded Warehouse at Cochin, India. Mir Projects and Consultants completed the techno economic feasibility study for this project including assistance in the identification of potential sites. Extensive traffic projections with both technical requirements and different financial modelling were undertaken to ascertain the optimum investments that could targeted. Road and rail connectivity with benefits of the proximity of the Port was also studied. A final report was submitted for the consideration of the developers and a option exists for undertaking the Project management of the project when it gets under way.
